Pat Jones YMCA has always been more than a building. As a non-profit organization it has strived to serve all people regardless of income or economic standing. In fact, last year alone, the Jones Y provided $398,311.82 in financial assistance to deserving children and families—$44,004 of which provided family memberships to foster families in Greene County.
Located at 1901
E. Republic Rd. in Springfield, MO the facility serves the flourishing southern section of the Springfield
Metro Area, Republic, Nixa and Ozark and Sparta. It boasts
ample parking, a soccer basin with four soccer fields and a half-mile
outdoor walking track. Inside, the full-service facility features a large indoor track, indoor
pool, family/women's and men's locker rooms, sauna, steam room and
whirlpool, a group exercise area, a massage therapist, two basketball
courts, a cardio floor and a weight room with a full line of free
weights and Cybex Machines.

Established in 1989, the Jones Y has served hundreds of thousands of children and families over the last 17 years. During that same time, membership has increased from 3,000 to 11,000 members and is projected to grow to 15,000 members by 2008.
The renovations and expansions proposed in the master plan will meet this need while advancing the Y’s mission, “To promote Judeo-Christian values through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.”
As the Jones Y plans to expand their physical structure, they continue to build the character of all members, participants, volunteers and staff through programs which stress caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. |
