We offer you child care when you need it most: before school, after
school, on snow days, holiday vacations, during the summer, and even
while you workout.
The Ozarks Regional YMCA is the largest provider of child care in
Southwest Missouri, serving 2,000 kids each day in its largest program:
Prime Time before and after school child care. Not only are we the
largest, but we are the best: with over 117 years of experience in
caring for kids. Let us care for your kid[s], you won't be sorry!
Our branch is located inside the downtown Springfield YMCA at 417
S. Jefferson.
Healthy Kids Academy (grades K-5)
Healthy
Habits—Healthy Kids: YMCA Healthy Kids
Academy, HKA, is a pilot program created right here in Springfield
that may one day be used at more than 2,500 YMCAs nationwide!
Healthy Kids Academy
is a part of the YMCA Prime Time child care program. Eleven elementary
schools participate in the program that
teaches children grades K–5 healthy habits. Healthy Kids Academy
is sponsored by the Missouri Foundation for Health.

Summer Odyssey (grades K-5)
Summer Odyssey provides a variety of activities to
meet physical needs in an atmosphere of social, emotional and
intellectual
development.
Our goal in Summer Odyssey is to better equip your child for
taking on new challenges they may encounter in the upcoming school
year.
Above all, your child will have fun, cultivate new friendships
and have new experiences in a safe, supervised and positive environment.
Activities include swimming, arts & crafts, sports, movies,
roller skating, mini golf, great guest speakers and more!

Snow Much Fun Days (grades K-5)
Does your child jump for joy when school is cancelled?
Don't get stressed, have Snow Much Fun! The YMCA will help
your child make the most out of their snow days. Snow Much Fun Days
is available when the Springfield R-12 School District has a snow
day. If school is cancelled by 7:30AM, the YMCA is the place to be
for winter fun. Sorry, early dismissal days are not covered.
Cancellation is possible due to low enrollment, so pre-register
today to guarantee your child a warm, safe environment when the weather
outside is frightful.

Holiday Adventure Club, HAC, (grades K-5)
It's winter break—do you know where your child
is going while school is closed? No worries. Professionals at YMCA
Holiday Adventure Club have lots of fun to fill up your holiday
breaks.
When the Springfield Public School district is closed, the Ozarks
Regional YMCA Holiday Adventure Club (HAC) is open. Students are
invited to spend a fun-filled day doing activities the Y-way.

Prime Time—What is it? ( grades K-5)
Prime Time is a national YMCA school-aged child care
program for children grades K-5. It is a safe, well-supervised program
for those hours when a parent cannot be at home. All program sites
meet at the designated school location and are generally located
in the school’s gymnasium or cafeteria.
Each Prime Time site meets State Day Care Licensing requirements.
In meeting state requirements, ENROLLMENT IS LIMITED at all site
locations. If enrollment is closed or full at the school you are
registering for, you will be placed on a waiting list. Parents who
receive DFS child care assistance must apply early.
